Complete Volume I of History of
Northeast Missouri, listed in two sections, by the state as a
whole and second by the counties. Many of the chapters listed in
the state will provide county listings. This is book
contains a huge amount of information, and is divided into
several sections. The Church and County information is
very informative, descriptions of roads, rivers, streams and
creeks are interesting and a great place to find those locations
of our ancestors that we can't find on maps. In the County
Histories they are written by a different author and presented
in their manner. Sometimes it was difficult to put them
together in a manner for the visitor to find the information
they needed. Some of the town and township information is
incomplete and they don't always provide the information needed.
There is a page with
Town information added.
